Meanwell LDD driver: for those who want to dim to 0 using Arduino

Hi,

greetings from France ... I would like to know if someone know any U.S. supplier which could have A6211 chip in stock or another chip which could replace it ? I looked at Digikey they can ship A6211 in April it's long :) Here in Europe I can't find it neither.

I need to drive 10 CREE Led (let's say 32/34V) , at 1500mA, and my SMPS is 48V output. So far I found some chips which could replace A6211 (AL8806, PAM2863, NCV7691 for example) but can't find a chip which can handle both 48V input and 1.5A output. I also need PWM control and small package, SOIC-8 for example.

thanks.

Send me a PM. I've got some extra A6211 chips available.

Wow,...those things in short supply...again :headwally:

A6211 = "Unobtanium" Glad I bought the 400 when I did! LOL:dance:

 I think you have to contact me first
Pff I can't even reply to your PM :) can you send me your mail or something?
Sorry to disturb this post.

O2, I don't post on here either(use NR), but have been a member for a long time. I need a 4 channel PWM to 0-10v for my Apex. Pm me your info for payment if you have any & the price for the 4 channel board.
Thanks

Hi All, I stumbled onto this thread after deciding to build my own lighting controller a few months ago. It all started when I got an arduino starter kit and got it to blink an led. Great! i thought. just need to wire up a few more of these and have my own aquarium led system. ha ha. well.. after few more months of learning how to code, learning about electricity, learning how to solder, learning how to use eaglecad, and spending many an antisocial evening looking at specsheets I finally have my own arduno controller with its own menu system and led driver! now i only have one question...

where should i physically mount everything?

my components are similar to the ones produced here so i thought I'd ask those who have bought/madeyour own, do you put your lcd on the front, driver on top of the lights and psu on the floor or everything in one box under the hood, or in a cabinet under the tank? for those who split everythng up, what do you do with all the wires everywhere?

First congrats on your undertaking! You should try to make your different components interconnecting as much as possible,...when things fail,...and they will,... it makes life a lot easier to be able to unplug parts for repair or replacement.

Thanks! Yes this is one of the reasons I ultimately decided not to mount everything onto one pcb. Interconnecting (and using flywires) also provides more choices over the size and shape of controller.

I used cat5 cables,...they come in about a dozen colors and are pretty cheap on ebay. I even used one from my PS to my 5up board,...paralleled 4 for + and 4 -
