Mega Flow kit x2

I am setting up 120 gallon All Glass tank with two internal overflows. So that's 2 drains and 2 returns...I bought the Mega Flow kits, an i will be putting gate valves on drains and returns...but now wondering if I should convert one of my returns to an emergency drain to make it more like a Herbie system. I want things to be very quiet.

Suggestions???

Can you return the Megaflow kits? They're a waste of money, frankly, especially if you want to set up a full siphon. I have the exact same tank. I am running a herbie style system, 1" are the main drains, and the 3/4" are the emergency drains plumbed high into the sump, so if they start running, I can hear them.

I have my returns plumbed over the back of the tank. Aside from the whirring of my MP40s, the tank is pretty quiet.
