MegaBite's 180 & Shallow Reef

Seriously! Do you do anything special to keep your sand like that? Do you remember what brand it was?

After I started dosing Vodka, the sand stays pretty clean. I do scrape the glass in front all the way to the bottom (under sand) about once a month and move the top layer of sand in dirty looking places every other week.

A few updated Zoanthid pics:

I got the canopy and stand used. The canopy was un-finished and was just a standard sit on the top of your tank canopy with no access. I was looking to get better access into the tank without having to mess with the lights, so I came up with the slanted cut. I used a piano hinge to keep the two pieces together and the top opens all the way so I have tons of room for maintenance or what have you. Here's a couple of pictures to illustrate the light configuration and access.

I really like your canopy. Can you take moer pics of how it is constructed. Are those pine 1x4s? Is there any thing between them to block out light or are they just side by side? I would like to see the inside braces and screws under regular light. thanks for any help. Looks great!

I'll try and get what you're looking for when I get home tonight.

Tangtang, here are some extra pics that may help. It is 1" X 4" pine. I don't have anything to but a thick coat of paint to block out light between the wood. No light gets through so I don't have a need to do more.

These are older pics but if you'd like more detailed ones, I will take some more. Let me know.

Your boredem = our enjoyment
Thanks for the pictures
One question if you don't mind. Have you had any trouble with keeping multiple firefish in one tank? TIA

Thanks Fab.

I just got the Fire Fish (5) and they are doing very well. I will let you know how they all do in the weeks to come.

Thanks for the pics MB! Tank looks great. As for fire fish they look huge. I bought a pair from a local guy and I put both in my 75. Then I could only find one. I moved up to a 125 and I just added a purple firefish to the mix. They get along just fine.
