I think I have some also, I had it in my SH tank and it grew like mad under PC's. I put some in my 125g reef and my Tangs leave it alone which is nice because its a nice splash of color tucked here and there in the reef.

Melev what kind of brittle/serpent star is that ? I had a green serpent and he ate everything he could get his hands on. He even tried to eat an 8" blue tang once. Does yours create any problems. If not I'm totally getting one.

It is a Banded Serpent Star. The Green Brittle Starfish is voracious, and will eat fish if it so desires. Serpent starfish are usually safe to add and do a nice job with keeping things clean.

Time for some updates.

First of all, my blue centered Ricordia is walking around the tank. Turns out it was connected to an empty shell that a hermit chose to move into. I have a hard enough time growing these things, and this guy is schlepping my ric all over the tank.

I thought this hitchhiker featherduster was pretty.

The gobies in the tank are fun to watch as the zip around the tank.

The two Gorgonians seem to be doing pretty well.

I love the Neon Blue Hermit crab.

This is a tiny tiny Trochus snail. Maybe 1/4" long.

The mini carpet anemones are moving around the tank because the hermits keep flipping their rock, which they abandon.

met you at Crase in Zoanuts booth. I was wondering how difficult the mini carpet anem's you have in nano are to find? I've done couple searches and ask couple people, but got zilch.

I got mine from a hobbyist in New York.

I'd like to share them with some local hobbyists in my club to get them into more tanks, with them eventually landing in Oklahoma tanks as well.

I've had mine under 36W PC, 80W PC and now 150W MH. It did fine under all three, but has really taken off under the MH.

It always has an orangey color on the front of the leaf, but it is growing like a weed. I don't see how it could be stressed and growing as well as it is. pH? Mine swings from 8.1 at night to 8.3 during the day. Hmmm....

Is yours a solid red/pink or does the front of the leaf have an orange color to it?

I really like your gorgonians! Are there any in particular that do better in nanos?

Mine are all deep red with no orange. I don't think pH is the factor in your situation as the numbers are well within range.

Gorgonians love food. I think any would be fine in a nano as long as water quality can be maintained. The Corky Gorgonian grows to be quite large, so I'd pass on that one for your tank.
