wow thats a awesome set up how big is that tank

It's only ~75g or so. Those big nasos are just babies. :D

j/k

Joe's tank is 560g, if I remember correctly, and 10' long. Looks even better in person, and the quantity of fish is just awesome.

Here's the most recent shot I have of my tank.... long story :D

But here's what it looked like a couple of months ago:

I need to get a new FTS. The tank has been reaquascaped, and there are quite a few more corals than in those last shots.

Very nice, guys
Hard to decide witch is the best so far

Aim trying to post mine but something is not working with photobucket

why did u bring it down

I had been wanting to change the aquascaping a little to create more coral mounting area on top of the LR. Then, I carelessly let ich into the tank. So, we pulled everything out, caught the fish, and reaquascaped. The tank is almost back together, corals are doing great, and the fish are still in QT receiving treatment.

Racermike, when you took those pics, did you have different halide bulbs on each side of the tank? I kinda looked at the pic and my eyes were very confused. Looks nice, and I'm sure the difference is minimal in person, but I just wanted to ask. [/B]

Yeah I was running two different bubls at the time. I got a hamilton 14K from Johnny and was just trying it out that week to see how I liked it. I have since switched back to 10K with actinics.
The main tank hasn't changed much but I added a 30G custom prop system beside it plumbed to the same sump.

I will post pics of the new additions later.

Since everyone is sharing...

Sorry about the seam in the second shot (didn't quite get the whole tank in at once)

rrigau...ur tank was the backround of my computer for a while!!! I love it sooooo much. Could you please tell me either on here or in a PM what size, pump, lighting, filtration, etc. I would love to have a tank like that!!!

ezdive...for some reason ur pics didn't work at first but the second time they did...hmmm...anyways your tank is gorgeous also!

Thank you guys. I promised myself that I would let things grow out a little before figuring out what to buy next but dang, is it hard to not buy anything.

EZDIVE....Love the color contrast. I was just telling my buddy to look at your pics, to give him an example of how I would like color contrast to be.

No I mean as far as color contrast of the rocks, corals (thier placement) the fish....it's hard to explain. I just love the way the colors come out.
You have 2 x 250W MH SE or DE?
I have 2 x 250w 14k MH SE, and soon I will at T-5 actinics and change the MH to 10k.

I have 2 actinics one is a tru actinic and one is a "UV Blue" both from Hello lights. 54 watts.
Right side is 10K XM and the left side is 14K Hamilton which I plan on switching out for a 10K as soon as it comes in. The colors really pop with the UV Blue. All of the flourecsents come out which helps alot in terms of asthetics. I switched from PC for the heat factor and that was a bonus. When the lights go to dusk, WOW. Neat colors. I also have switched out the 14K for 10Ks because of the growth factor. The T5s balance out the "yellow" really well...so I think you are on your way to getting the lighting you are looking for.

As far as the layout and stock, thank you very much, I really appreciate the compliments. I owe some credit to my neigbor who spent about 5 hours with me AFTER I spent 8 just switching it out from the 75. So, Jim, if your out there, THANKS, BROTHER!
