I will have to stop by when you are done with it and see it again. The portion I saw when I got that wrench from you looked really good. And honestly, with hobby grade tools it is hard to get perfect miters and angles. I use a hand saw and miter box to get perfect angles since I don't have a $2000 compound miter saw.

I am a bit OCD/ADHD so... weird combo I know, but... what? LOL
The tail shall indeed be left intact.

Thanks, any suggestions? It was initially going to be a QT, but as common to many tanks it's purpose can quickly evolve into something else. I guess it would be a shame to delegate it to a back room.

I currently have a black acrylic canopy I was planning to use, but a matching canopy may be a better idea. (And I should have more than enough wood left over - LOL.)

Looking good. I say leave the tail until your OCDHD kicks in and you have to cut it. I totally know the feeling my friend! However, the tank looks really good and I think deserves to be a DT and not a QT. Or at the least a QDT in the basement so I can come steal *ahem* "borrow" some more stuff

Does anyone know if there is a way to stain the stand, in the garage, in the cold? I've read it needs to be 65+ or the stain never cures.
Besides stain - a little trim, button up the inside of the stand, and it should be done.
