I would just feed the anemone and not try any wierd procedures. I bought a bleached "blue" carpet, which I think is a gigantea and it had barely any coloration to the tentacles. This anemone did not take to mysis like the others I have, so I tried some chopped up silversides and that seemed to be the ticket. It will eat 3-4 small chunks of silversides in one sitting and I usually try to feed it every other day. The past month or so the anemone has really colored up nicely and is starting "look" larger but I guess you never know if that is a good sign or not. I take the coloration change a great sign though. I will try to upload some pics when I am at home tonight to show you the progress.
