Metering pump issue

I've had my Osmolator hooked up almost 2 yrs now and has performed as intended. This morning I could hear water spilling into sump so knew my water level was low and when I looked at my fill line in sump it was lower then it normally is. When I looked at the controller all red lights were on, nothing blinking. I disconnected power and plugged in again and unit beeped, lights went to green and pump turned on but it was definitely louder than normal and isn't pumping. Is this a slam dunk failed pump that needs replacing or is there anything else you recommend to troubleshoot Roger?

Could you clarify the "all lights were red"? It only has two red lights, they cannot change color, too low is red, pump on is amber/yellow, level is green and too high is red, more than one light on is generally an error code, it is critical to view the screen with no angle as the LED's are recessed and will appear through multiple windows if viewed at an angle.

From what a gather of your description, the hose was in the sump further and was dripping due to a siphon, the water level was likely too low, meaning it tried to pump for 10 minutes and gave up, the pump may be broken, it may simply be air locked which also results in a lot of noise, try tipping it upside down while submerged as a first step.

I could've been wrong on the lights as I did look at an angle. It isn't a siphon/sump issue as I have the hose enter into the overflow. I took the hose out of pump and turned on power and it pumped fine. I blew through hose from pump side and I heard something. I put hose back int pump plugged in power and it pumped water through hose so maybe there was something with hose
