Metering pump

Hi Roger, Allen here. I purchased the Osmomat from you a while back.

Today, I found my storage tank empty and my metering pump trying to pump water that wasn't there. I can't believe I forgot to fill it up. :mad2:

This product is so convenient sometimes you can take it for granted.

Anyways, is there a way I can tell for sure wether or not I messed up the metering pump?

Also, where can I get a replacement if it is broken?

Thanks in advance.

The unit can run dry, it actually has a ten minute time out safety after which the pump will cut off- don't worry about it all these conditions were factored in in the engineering process. If you want a new pump they are about $17. I can sell you one when i return from germany. Otherwise Marine Depot has them in stock.

Hi Roger,

I Just received my osmolator regulator, and I would like to know how does it works with the calcium dispenser. I have a 25 gallon tank, and it will be sps tank.

Thank You

The calcium dispenser sits inside the reservoir we offer 5002.25 or you can use a tall bucket like a salt bucket. The pump produces a tengetial inflow of water that stirs the kalkwasser mixture while dispensing. With a weekly addition of 2teaspoons I would expect a saturated solution for about 3-4 days for your evaporation level, after that the dose would taper down and a replenishment would be required. This is done by adding powder through a threaded schedule 80 opening at the top. It is really a very simple system and the only mixer\doser is the pump supplied with the osmolator, the reactor simply splices in line.
