method to get a clown to host over night?

i was just wondering if anyone has tried this method.

i was told that if u put an anemone and a clown in a container over night. it will host right away. container being like those guppy breeder things that u hang in the tank.

this guy told me that usually tank bred clowns dont know what an anemone is(specially false percs). they usually just meet by chance if not put into a container together. so maybe sometimes it takes longer for them to find the anemone.

im goin to get my BTA soon. and im gonna try this method.
but b4 i do this. any experts have any input? pros and cons?

well, i introduced my clowns and my bta at the same time (around 6 months ago), and i dripped them in the same bucket (a pretty big bucket). The clowns swam immidiately (within seconds) into the bta, and have been hosting the anemone since.

Be careful, however: if anything disrupts the clown's slime coating and he dives for cover, he's a goner.

I would be concerned that there isn't enough flow to keep the anemone happy..

The guy who told you tank breds don't know what an anemone is for doesn't know what he is talking about. First, Clowns have no parental instruction once they hatch, they gotta figure it out on their own. Second, we can't change thousands of years of evolution with a few captive bred spawns. Finally, If you doubt they will host, I'll gladly show you pics of my ORA Black ocellaris and Orange ocellaris hosting, or my IthacaReefs Fire clowns hosting, or my locally CB True Percs hosting..
