MH color temp question

I am up grading to daul 250 MH moguls , I have mostly zoo's ,leathers, shrooms,and other soft coral.
My question is what Kalvin I should go with, so that I may see some better growth.

I also have 2 actinic 48" VHOs in my canopy ,

10k
14k
20k????????? what do you think

If you want growth, go with the 10K's. Generally speaking, the lower the Kelvin rating the higher the PAR.

I agree, your actinic supplementation will take the yellow out of the bulb persay.
The 20 K would be very blue all by itself, with actinics it would be like a blacklight.
I have 14K's over my 90 with two 48" VHO actinics and the color isnt too blue but it isnt yellow. It has the perfect medium, it gives the tank a little bit of a deeper look.

Have you notice any increase in growth using the actinic's & 14kmh

Definitly, I used to have PC's and within the 5 months I have had my halides, my growth has doubled.

I thinking going 14k

at the moment i have 2-10k vho's & 2-actinic vho's

would the 14ks be almost the same blue-ness as my vho

set-up or more ?

The color or blue tint form the halides and VHO's all depend on what manufacturer makes the halide. Each manufacturer will have 14 or 15K bulbs, but each differnt brand of bulb will be a diferent shade of blue.
I have the Aqua Cool 14 K bulbs, I know with other halide manufacturers the colors can be really blue or you migh be able to barely tell.

I have 2 250 watt Aqua cool bulbs over my 90 and I love them, they work great and I havent had any problems with them.

Well I have to say "WOW" , I bought the dual 250 watt balast and socket combo from www.aquariumlight.com with 14k's
and I have to say "why did'nt I think of doing this sooner" wow wow wow "Incredible" wow ill post some pic's as soon as i can.
