I am getting a 60Lx30Wx24T envision tank soon. I want to use lumenbright reflectors and this will be an sps only tank. Would two lumenbright large be enough to cover this tank? Also 250w or 400w? If you have experience or suggestions with this set up point me in the right direction.

I had a 60x36x24 tank. Great size. I used 2 Luminarc reflectors, and a couple t5s. 400w SE. I believe the lumenbright are even better then the lumenarcs no?

Worked amazing coverage was excellent.

just halide

if just two I would go for the full size lumenmax. They are what I use mostly and on a 30" wide tank they will cover it pretty well without needing any supps

I say 400w as well especially since you are only using two, but it isnt a whole lot more to get a 250/400 w galaxy or lumatek ballast anymore so might as well go that way since it will leave you with the choice for nothing more than buying a different bulb

Mammoths coverage looks good as well, but those lumenmax 22"'s are a better reflector all the way around for what you are trying to do

James at envision acrylics is building mine. I looked everywhere for one and was not able to find anybody making them as a production tank. I think the ones that are around are all custom.

yeah I found that a few days ago and submitted a quote and they said I had to go through a dealer I believe - how much did you pay for yours?

I have 2 lumenbright mini pendants at 250w on my 60x24x24 and it's plenty of light so I think the full size or wide ones would be fine.

Good to hear. I ended up getting two of the large pendants. Not sure If I will be using 250w or 400w yet, but I will have to experiment and see .

I went with 400w because I prefer to run a 20k bulb, and liked being able to have good par w/a 20k spread over a wider area. Which since you are going to be only using 2 bulbs is something you might want to consider.

I am going to start out with 400w since I already have the stuff to do so. But will try it on the 250w setting and see what I think.

60x30x25 3x lumenbright 400 watters- Prolly over kill but no issued with coverage utilizing this reflectors, just way too much electricity.
Since then this tank is LEDS lit but u get the picture.

I had actually seen your pics before I posted this thread. I really wanted to go three but with the extra cost plus electricity I just cant afford it. If I went three then it would have to be 250w'ers
