I am wondering if anyone has ever tried using these type of lights over a reef tank?

Would have to pick uo some appropriate bulbs.

The ballasts are likely exactly the same as other 400W MH. The reflectors are not great.

People used to buy DIY MH kits with nearly these same components only they used reef reflectors and bulbs.
