MH Wiring help

Sparky's and Sparkettes,


Trying to wire in a "Reef Optics" DE reflector. It arrived with no paperwork. The pig tail has Green, Brown, and Blue. My spare plug has Green, Black and White...can anyone tell me with any certainty which goes to white and which to black?? Thanks.

Usually blue is white and brown is black. MH lights are AC though, so i don't know how much it really matters...

Over here, brown is active and blue is neutral.

on the pigtail, test the continuity on the center tab of the socket with one of the wires, that will be the hot wire attached to the black wire of your plug. The outer screw part would be the neutral and attach that one to the white wire of the plug, green is ground

Since this is a DE socket, there is no screw?

Since its DE I imagine it matters even less.

Turned out not to matter, which after we thought long enough became clear as the bulb can be flipped 180 deg without issue... duh. Thx guys
