MHannon's new 90 gallon setup

Great looking tank, and the arrow crab looks amazing.

Pretty inspiring for those of us that are still taking our first steps towards starting their tank!
 
Ha ha Im just kidding buddy. I agree with WinnipegDragon. This tank is my inspiration. Dont believe me? Our fish list and coral list pretty much match

Yeah, its OCD. Im sure of it. Im not ocd with my tank like I am with some things. Thank God! It would drive me insane.
 
I hate the was I aquascape. It just kills me. Thats why I let mike do it and never ever touch it ha ha ha. Youll be fine with us geeks Jessie. Cant wait till you get your butt over to mikes!!!
 
hey bro on the G3 sysytem you got, i have one aswell and my tank has alot of micro buubbles, i see your system is way cool, but i was wondering if i could run and elbow and then a pvc pipe straight down to the water, will this restrict the amount of bubbles and overall power of skimmer?
 
Yeah, my skimmer puts out some micro bubbles too. Are the bubbles making their way out of the sump and into the main tank? My sump is divided into 3 sections. First is the skimmer section. It has a bunch of bubbles in it, but it flows over a baffle into the refugium and that separates out 99% of the micro bubbles. Then it flows through a set of 3 baffles (over, under, over) into the return chamber. At this point all of the micro bubbles are gone.

As for the elbow and PVC, it shouldn't effect the skimmer. That is almost how I have mine set up. You might as well go the extra step and add a gate valve. I love my gate valve mod. It makes it a lot easier to control the water height. However, it doesn't do anything for micro bubbles.

yea i bouught the god damn sump from a company instead of the extra baffel it has a thick foam pad, but there is a ton of micro bubbles, i do not plan having a way for the water to go up in your setup, im just going to go straight down into the water, hopefully it will work,
 
Sounds good to me. I didnt get a chance to grab that toadstool frag today. Mind if I grab a small kenya out of the sump tomorrow while im over? Im going to cut some of my gsp for you and glue it for you. Are we to five pages yet? lol
