You can dose it like any other carbon source and it'll feed the beneficial bacteria in your reef tank. AF refer to NP Pro as a 'Polymer' which simply means is a large molecule carbon.
Start dosing it and see what happens. You really can't hurt a thing by trying unless you've got a high nutrient or EXTREMELY low nutrient reef tank.

Hi Matt quick question for you. You have been using AF coral e for a little while now. Have you noticed lightening of your corals from it? I have order some AF products and was going to hold off on coral e for a while but I'm looking to see if you like results from it and I might just start it at a lower dose right away. What do you think just start using it or wait to see what the other prducts do first?

I use it but haven't seen any change as of yet. I've used Zeospur as well in the past and never achieved much lightening either. If the corals aren't overloaded with zooxanthellae the lightening effect is very limited.

The center ends of the tank have no bulbs covering them and there have been some corals not getting enough light there. Well that just wont do
The flubber tank had the 8 bulb fixture over it, but it really doesn't need that much light. It really only needs 6 bulbs. So i swapped them! Now the SPS reef is covered by 14 bulbs of T5 goodness, and there is narry a dim spot to be had:

7 Blue Plus
1 Actinic Blue
2 ATI Actinic
2 Fiji Purple
1 Aquablue Azure
1 Coral Plus

The corals look very pale, do you have measurable Nitrate? I'd be happy to help you with some suggestions, but keep in mind color preference is very subjective
Im going to start buying my t5 bulbs now so i would like a proven color combo for growth and color so please bring on the wisdom!
Also i know you said get the 6 bulb ati unit but the 8 bulb isnt that much more $ and like you said i can have alot more bulb combination options like maybe using the 6 bulbs which you said is enough for the tank for par and growth and using the 2 extra for more (pop) bulbs not so much par with the 8 bulb unit?

The IC gel really is the best. Adam at Battlecorals turned me on to that stuff. Between that and a tiny squirt of accelerator and it's an instant grab and set of even large, heavy frags.
Glad the snake oil is working for you lol...i kid, I kid.
I change around 20% every 3-4 weeks these days. Used to change more often when I was using 2 part, but the calcium reactor makes me more comfortable with stretching that out.
