MicMol Smart LED Reef Lights

I am using a black box 165W right now and like it, but it is too short for my tank. 36" tank, 16" light. I am looking to upgrade to the Viparspectra 300W/ It is 30" and has a better mix of spectrums, comes with 90 degree lenses installed, and is somewhat controllable. It is still a "black box", but a better one. It is about $230 on Amazon.

Whatever you get, make sure it uses at least 3W LED's and you should be good.

That is the one I plan on getting. I think it would be fine for a 4 ft tank. It would leave 9" on either end of the light, but that should be fine as you wont have as much spill into the room. You would want to put lower light corals closer to the ends and SPS in the middle of the tank.

For how much?

The T5 fixture $300 plus shipping and the mars aqua would be $75 shipped each.

So for 150$ you would have plenty of light. I would hook up with PSlreefer and buy his used lights if it were me.
