Micro-dot puffer

Hi all, just got back from my lfs and fell in love with a micro-dot puffer. and was thinking of putting him in my 60g with my lion.

anyone forsee any trouble, i have never kept a puffer, is he likely to be a fin nipping kind?

from my fish book he should only reach around 5 inches is this right?

I used to house a small toby puffer with my dwarf fuzzy and within seconds of acclimating my lion, the toby was already picking at his spines and trying to break them off. I ended up trading in the toby that day!

This is a hit and miss situation, if you add the puffer keep a close eye on it and be prepared to remove one or the other.

Is this a Sharpnose Puffer (Canthigaster)?
What type of Lion?

toby puffers and lions are a bad combo.... Toby's can't help but pick at the lion's fins and the lions will want to eat the toby when they can even get close to fitting him in their mouth. Since toby is toxic that is bad for both parties.

i would say it depends on the indivdual fish itself...hit or miss, but you may not want to take a chance
