I may be having to move due to problems with my apartment that my landlord is unwilling to fix. Unfortunately, I really do not want to try and move my tank because I am extremely busy with finals for law school. Because I really don't have as much time as I would like to take care of my tank, I am considering selling it.
-It is a 55 gallon standard, not breeder.
-Stand and a very nice custom canopy with fan, 2x175 watt 10k MH's with EVC electronic ballasts and 1x4 ft. actinic VHO with ballast.
-hang-on overflow
-20 gallon sump, divided with skimmer chamber, refugium, return chamber.
-ASM G-2 skimmer
-6 gallon Nurce water refill system
-mag drive 7 return pump
-extra Quiet One return pump
-coralife light timer
-various powerheads
-American Scientific electronic pH meter and American Scientific electronic salinity meter
-extra 20 and 10 gallon aquariums that I previously used for quarantine tanks
-24 inch 130 watt Coralife PC aqualight
-almost brand new Typhoon 5 stage ro/di system with ALL the bells and whistles
-3/4 bucket of Reef Crystals
-Lots of pickling lime for kalkwasser
-from what I remember about 60 to 75 pounds of liverock, all kinds of life on this rock
-about 120 lbs. of white southdown style aragonite sand, very fine grain, this is the real deal
Livestock:
-1 false percula clown, fairly large, I believe female
-1 royal gamma
-blue tuxedo urchin
-Rose Bubble Tip Anemone, very bright, just cloned not too long ago, softball size usually
-purple/pink zoanthids
-orange zoanthids
-some bright orange zoanthids
-great looking red and green open brain, Lobophyllia
-red and green blastos
-smaller red blastos
-branching frogspawn, 3 heads
-2 branching hammer coral, total heads something like 20
-green bubble coral
-galaxia, larger than a softball
-some kind of branching SPS, grows very fast, about half inch or more a month, softball sized
-green, blue, and blue/orange ricordea floridas
-VERY red ricordea yuma
-peach ricordea yuma
-snails, hermits, pods, other critters
-fuge full of cheatomorpha macroalgea
-LOTS of other stuff, pumps, buckets, tests, additives, handheld TDS meter
Still not sure I want to sell, but testing the water in case I do end up having to do so. I really love my tank and would like to see the livestock go to a good home. At this point I would like to sell the whole package rather than try to part it out, but if someone wants to buy all the livestock, I might then consider parting out the equipment.
If you buy the entire set-up I will help you break it down and get you on your way.
I am willing to take a substaintial overall loss here to see that my animals get a good home, but I have several thousand invested in this tank at this point and I don't expect to recoup all of that, but please only reasonable offers, my misfortune could be your opportunity but please don't take advantage of the situation to stick it to me.
Anyone want to make what they think is a reasonable offer?
see here for a picture of the tank in my old apartment, no blue tang anymore, sorry, and the substrate is sand now, not CC, still a decent photo of much of the livestock. I can send you more pics, just PM me.
