Mikes 360 Gallon Reef

I did a test run on with my current return pump (reeflo Dart) just to get an idea for the noise level. Since my old setup was in the garage I never heard the noise from the return or skimmer. Now that it's inside the house I can definitely hear a hum coming from the Dart. I know it's going to drive me crazy so considering the Waveline 6000. Does anyone have first-hand experience with this pump in an internal configuration? Is it dead quiet?

I use a speedwave 6000, which is the older model of the waveline 6000, and yeah, dead friggin silent. My skimmer is louder

I use a waveline 12000 on my 150 and just have it turned wayyy down. It's silent. My overflow makes more noise.

How much was the tank? I'm looking at similar sizes. Is it 1/2 or 3/4 inch arylic?

pics of old, sump? is it glass or acrylic? if glass dont worry, if acrylic how thick?
It's acrylic. I'm sure it's an easy fix. I have some weldon 16 I can fix it with.

Did I read this right? You build an entire stand and finished it over one weekend?!!
Took me 3 days actually.

Tank is 3/4" acrylic.

Looks like I'm going to have to keep the Reeflo Dart. I can't find a pump that puts out the same GPH that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. From the quick research I've done it seems like most of the newer pumps are still working out their kinks.

I knew better too. I was about to install 2" thick foam insulation beneath the stand to help sound proof it. Too late now.

FREE XENIA!!! TODAY ONLY. I'm finishing up the transfer of my corals and now is a good time to get rid of all the xenia that is growing like crazy. It's going in the trash if nobody takes it. First come, first serve.

Fluval Sea SP6 would work perfect for this tank. Can be used internal or external. 3600gph, and dead silent. I don't consider it to be expensive. Oh and the pump uses an Askoll motor...Best in the biz

Stand looks very very nice. Just wondering why you didn't leave it all open underneath? Would have let you have more room for a bigger sump and any equipment you might have.

What you planning to do for lights?
Thanks. I prefer having separate cabinets underneath to keep electronics dry and for misc. storage. I didn't really see a need for a larger sump. I think the size I have now will work just fine.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into this.
