military reefers club

I agree, best treatment for PTSD out there. So much better than group therapy. I hate that touchy feely kinda crap.

+1000!! My wife will attest to that, an hour working on/watching the aquarium does more for me than any amount of group therapy

AD USAF here will join when i get home gov computers block that site. Im in fort walton beach fl on hurlburt field if anyone needs a hand!

Is it ok for non-military (was a dependent, too old now) to join this club? My dad is retired Navy and he has a tank, though I take care of it.

I'm in Charleston, SC so I'm willing to help anyone out here in the area around the Weapons Station or AF Base.

Yes, its ok to join... We would be happy to hear from dependents!

I had to give your screen name a double take a few times.. I wasn't sure if someone was trying to play me or something.. My middle name starts with an M... lol

Marine Corps vet living in the bay area and I just joined GPS. Been lurking around these forums for some time now and finally have the time to get a tank up and running. Trying to start a 90gal build within the next couple months.

My husband and I are currently at HAAF in Savannah. It has been a challenge to find the things or info I need since moving here. He will be deploying again soon as will a lot of soldiers around here. I would love to do my part and help in any way I can. I think a reef club dedicated for the militar would be a much needed service

hey chinoolgirl, my buddy was stationed there for years so i would visit every year, he had a tank too and there is a pretty good place for fish and supplies not far from the base

Hi from Canada

Hi from Canada

Hi, I'm a vet from Canada. I've just joined the MilitaryReefers on GPS. I'm a retired Aircraft Engine Technican living in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

This is a perfect idea! Me personally it is frustrating to try and find places to trade and craigslist doesnt quite cut it...I am fixing to deploy myself and trying to find out what will work to help the tank take care of it self while i am gone.

Speaking of I have a Koran angel I am trying to find a good home for...he is maturing and unfortunately i have him in a 55 gal tank. Any recommendations to find a good home? I dont want to just dump him off.

Hey all, just stumbled on this thread. Figured I'd join you all as I am an active duty USAF Firefighter. Currently stationed at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. I'm PCSing to Tyndall AFB in January, can't tell you how excited I am to live by a beach. Anyone here live in/near Panama City, FL that I could talk to about good LFS.

Whats up guys, Im steven (USAF ATC) stationed at Fairchild AFB in WA. Its not easy to get things up here for saltwater and if you find something it is expensive. Hopefuly I will pcs to the coast (That would be awsome!!!) in the next few years. Nice to meet you all.

Bump to the top for the Military Reefers! Happy Reefing.

Thanks,
Lance Pender
