Minh's Blue LA Gigantea 6/26/2014

Moved on
I am documenting my Blue Gigantea that Jared got for me from LA with his lighting finger. I got this anemone just around 10:30 AM. I cannot get it home until 12:20 or so, so I just leave it in the box. I got about 1.5 hrs to get him in my QT/HT.
Very well pack. He was quadruple bag with two bags each time so total of 8 bags. There were well pack with peanuts. Total of 22 lbs. I estimated that 2 gal of water was send with the anemone.
The anemone was send attached to a square white tile with the corners round off. Ti keep from puncture the bag I guess. There were some discharge in the bag and the water have some debris and slight cloudy but no odor.

Below are the pictures I took as I unpack him.

I decided to added Septra DS before I go back to work.

Good luck to the three of us with this three beautiful Gigantea. I scanned through the other two threads, It seem like mine was in the best condition on arrival to us.

His color actually looks better then the LA pics Minh. I think you have yourself a good one there.

I promise, last picture for the day. He continue to expanded and is looking good. I will go read for my son then when he is as sleep, I will got back out and do a 100 % water change. I can see that he is larger and the color is a lot less intense. Tentacles are longer and fatter too.

I just re-read this. And I thought someone said two gallons is too much water... :rolleye1:

And it looks like they did an excellent job packing it. I'm sure you're taking notes, right Jared? LOL

I'm happy for you finding your blue too! They are really pretty when bleached. Looks healthy considering shipping.

I walked away from my computer and thought, wrong word to use... Not healthy, but promising, considering shipping....

Here is the picture from LA I save here for posterity. Very accurate picture's color considering my last picture without touch up under 10K light.

Looking good there Minh! Gorgeous and looks really healthy. It seems to be bouncing back from the shipping stress very well.

Good luck!

Beautiful specimen, I was hoping this would be me next week....hehe
At least I know the blue one I 'had' in my cart for 10 seconds was the color to get ;)
