i have had a mini carpet in my tank for about 6 months now...been in the same spot since i placed him...never left the rock he came in on...
the rock is kind shaded by a every so quickly growing birdsnest...and i think he is looking for more light now...but he stopped under a ledge...litterally...he is stuck to the bottom side of the ledge and a large rock...pretty close to 0 light...decent flow though...
i was feeding him anywhere from 2 to 3 times a week...a mixture of squid, mysis, cyclops, rotifers, and baby brine
i had a minor fluctuation in ph and alk, as the kalk dripped to fast into the tank..i usually add about 2liters a day of saturated kalk as my top off...that day it went in in about 3 hours...
i am not sure if it is a light issue or if it just got ****ed about the parameter swing...
but he has been under the rock for 2 days now and i am getting worried....
should i force him out? with a power head? he is directly in front of my closed loop that is turned off...but i could fire it up again if i had too....
should i wait it out a couple more days...?
i can see very little of him...what i can see is still very colourful and inflated.
please help a concerned aquatic citizen...
