I thought i remember reading recently that people were having a hard time finding mini carpet nems, and those who do have them are not selling them to often. Am i confusing this:

....with something else?

I only ask because i am going to be getting that guy as part of a trade, and im curious about them. What kind of lighting? Flow? Feeding?

It will be going in a 8" deep tank, with 4 T5's over it, total system size is 120 gallons. Sound good enough?

thats what were all talking about, tigahboy has some awesome ones, you can find his thread in the nano forum, check them out

I got some! I have about 6, maybe more...i cant see how many babys there are. Some a bright pink bubbles, some oare green/pink...and some a blue/greens...all very neat and all very sticky.

The guys that gave them to me says they grow like shrooms in his tank, and he was right. They were everywhere! I will have to get some pics, im so excited about them :)

There are two types: the "minis" which grow to about the size of a quarter or so, and the "maxi minis" which get to about 6" in diameter. The "minis" are reasonably common and reproduce regularly in our tanks.

The "maxi minis" are much more rare and, to my knowledge, have never been seen to naturally split.

Both are very hardy anemones and will do well if "normal" reef tank conditions are adequately maintained.

ahhh... good to know. I did not know this until now :)

Well i got the minis, the quarter sized guys. They are the coolest nems so far, they are almost camo...so when your distracted by some of the awesome corals you might miss them. Then come back to the tank and see these guys sitting below those same corals and be blown away again.

So im guess im still hunting for the larger mini's...
