any tips of what to feed.

I have heard of minicarpets getting something like 6 inches across. It's in the genus Stichodactyla, it's not a ricordia.

here is mine that asexually split two weeks ago...

one in the zoas and th eother is on top of the rock...

he was about 4.5 inches across...

there are two different varieties of them....mini's and maxi's the mini's cap out about 2" the maxi's get to about 5-6"

i feed mine a concoction of mysis, krill, baby brine, cyclops, and rotifers...

there are a crazy variety of colours you can get...IF you can find them...

i started a thread about a month or so ago...and some other people posted some very nice pics..

I've seen pictures of them here on RC but never in stores. Who sells those things? I am destined to have one.

Yes they will kill slow moving fish.
I have seen mine kill pipefish, cardinal fish and a firefish. If a smaller fish touches one they can become stuck to it. Then the anemone just eats the flesh right off.

Iv'e seen this happen multiple times.

they are super super sticky...i had mine stuck to the inder side of my arm once and actually lifted the rock right out of the tank with him...poor little guy...

mofo...yours is quite nice too...

i got mine as a hitch hiker in a colony of blue zoas...

i have never seen them forsale persay as individual species...LOL i dont think my LFS even new they sold it too me..

Most LFS don't know what they are.....I got some that was a hitchhiker on some LR.

Mine are the Mini's and they are only about quarter to dollar coin size and I feed mine Mysis and small chunks of silverside.

When they are mixed with zoas, do they appear to sting them? I'm setting up a zoa tank and would like to find some of these as well.
