groupers are always hungry. my uncle had a striped grouper and that thing would eat everything. it ended up dominating the tank

I don't believe they're quite to the extent of a gulper catfish, but groupers can eat a substantially larger fish than themselves.

I was going to mention some of the "My catfish ate ..." thread on MFK but was not sure if it pertained to this. I do know a guy on there had his bumblebee grouper harass two of his sharks to death that where easily three times his size.

I like everyone else is patiently waiting pics and an update.

well this snake did the same thing as his grouper. but the crocodile was so big it blew up the snake

This is a faked picture. I am a herpetologist and know of this picture. Someone took a dead burmese python and a dead alligator, cut the snake open, stuffed the gator in, and took a picture.

But, in addition, I have seen a frog eat a frog of the exact same size. Stomachs are flexible and so are the animal's body.

Animals n fish can eat way more than you think. My 70 lb lab ate a larrge sicilian pizza with the works. An oscar i had would eat a dozen goldfish at a feeding, more than u would think were posible to fit in him. I dont doubt the grouper ate it, they r pigs. My uncle has a panther grouper that has eaten many tankmates
