These tanks are beautiful. Im in the process of setting up a 155G, What ever happened to the 1.5-2lbs of rock per gallon rule. Im glad people are ignoring it and having success !
Are people running more rock in there sump to free up space in the DT ?
Good to hear!Camps23 - I think my first two tanks used that method, but less rock = more space for the fish to swim and less places they can hide from me. In my new (180) I am running less than 80 to 90 lbs at most. I chose a big skimmer and will see how long I can get away with it. I have a some pieces of rubble in the sump and will more than likely add more so the pods have a great place to reproduce. I also chose dry rock like halcyonism did and the type of rock I think makes a difference. I choose Pukani which is really light and porous so while I may have less rock I am hoping it will be more efficient.
