Minimalist Aquascaping

Is that a 30x30x30 cube?

I am setting up a 93gal cube and like your scape alot.

Thanks :) The tank is 30x30x12. Or it could be 14 high. I forget. It is the deep blue 30 gallon tank.

I am just setting up an ada 60p and absolutely gutted that I'll not be able to fit this rockscape into it.

trackhazard, that is gorgeous. Do you have any shots of the rock before the corals grew out?

I cheated.

The big yellow scroll was from my wife's tank. She didn't have room for it. In fact, all the coral pieces apart from the mushrooms were from my wife's tank.

The rock aquascape itself was nothing special. A big round rock for the yellow scroll. Its sitting on a couple of smaller pieces to make space underneath for fish and to keep detritus from building up. The war coral was grown out in her tank as well on a big flat piece and simply transplanted. The purple rim monti was a piece that snapped off her main colony. Everything else is pretty much sitting on frag plugs.

Here is my tank. I ended up with a little more rock than I wanted but I'm happy with it.

So what is everyone using to make their rock stay in these crazy positions? I know there is the putty stuff which I'm not a great fan of(ugly looking). But Ive seen some of you all use this stuff that looks like title grout. What/How is that stuff and where did you get it?

Had a tank crash and lost most stuff when I moved in July. Decided on a new aquascape. Not sure it totally qualifies as minimalist but I'd say close. Definitely more open.
