What drivers would I use with a 5 channel 100w multi chip like the "dream mix" in the previous posts? I plan on using an Apex to control the drivers.
The common MeanWell ELN-60-48 (D for 1-10 V, P for PWM) would fit also for the 5 channel "dreamchip". Both for one chanell (posibillities for overdriving) and for two parallell chanels (no overdriving) This chip will be a reality rather soon - it will probably be ordered after this weekend.
Sincerely Lasse

Lasse is there any more information about the 5 channel driver you mentioned on the group buy thread? The group is very close to the trigger number so if the buy is happening soon (this weekend, YESSSSS!!!:hb2I would want to hold off on buying my meanwell drivers if janne's driver design is imminent. The waiting is excruciating.:hmm3:

Most of us here recommend meanwell - something like 2 HLG80-36B, one for white one for blue, and an LPF60-36B for the 420nm. Something along those lines, or two HLG100-36B and an LPF60-36B
These chips can be driven to 252w, although keeping some headroom is not a bad idea. hence, 80 + 80 + 50 = 210w, assuming you were using a color mix like that and needed that much power.
So I would need 3 sets of these for each multichip?
Can someone please tell me which computer wires I am suppose to use. I cut the power supply and its a green black and white. I put the green and black in and it keeps tripping my surge protector. Please help an electric newbie out?
@ TopTrea: He refers to a the driver solution to a guy here in Sweden is developing for this 5 channel multichip. A solution that is quite small which means that you can insert it into the pendant directly and let the fan that cools the chip also cooling the driver card. This means that you only need one cable for 36 V input to the pendant. But the solution is still under development.
