Minimalistic multichip DIY LED build

What do you think about that eBay 5 channel chip I posted about? There's a couple versions out there. Seem to be epistar and epiled chips

your asking the wrong person for led choice advice but i would stay away from anything with 660 red and instead use some warm white to get your red they all look good to me but that's one of the biggest debates what led to use

ok that settles it one hvac guy to another get the lumias the cost isn't that much more and there are reports of of great results with them even some coral farms are using them the 5.2s have connectors makes hooking them up a breeze i wasted my money and time with all the Chinese led combos and some of them burned out not to mention you really don't know if your really getting what they advertize just my opinion check them out

Hahahaha, finally checked your profile! That's hilarious. I think you're right though. Getting a little nervous about the sparse info on the Chinese stuff. I also ran across 100w lumia 5.1s being sold on Aliexpress for around 60 bucks. Not sure if theyre the same or not.

I'm tempted ti go that route if they're legit like, but 100w is way touch light for my tank (22") . Especially since the top my rock wall is only 6" from the surface. I haven't found the lower wattage lumia out there yet.

Woah! That's intense! That last pic woulda sold me on lumias! What type of screen is that? My trouble is I gotta do 2 72" tanks and a 42" tank.. Adds up.
