minimum clearance req'd for 9010

can someone with the 9010 skimmer help me out and tell me how much clearance is needed to remove the skimmate cup?

i know the skimmer height assembled is 16.8" tall, but i need to know how much additional space would be required to remove the skimmate holder? i have very minimal space under the stand so i wanted to verify before i went ahead and purchased the 9010

ok, found the answer on the online manual.. 3.5"

might be an inch or two too high...

do you guys think a 9005 would be sufficient for a heavily stocked (mostly sps) 75 gal reef?

It is probably your best option for such a small space but I would consider it less than ideal.
