Mishap with hornets

While moving some zoas around on my frag rack I noticed my purple hornets were loose off their plug. So I prepared another plug with coral affix and attempted to fix them on it when they went "face" down in the glue. :headwally: At least 3 of the 4 tiny polyps got glue on them. I finally got them righted and glued to the plug. After a few hours none of them have opened back up. Anyone else have this kind of accident with a good outcome?

Not the best picture taken with my Iphone. I can only hope that these will somehow open back up!

If you didn't rip the glue off and damaged their tops with open wounds, no problem.
They'll be ok, just let them rest.
Probably about a week to open.

once I knew they were glued I left them. I didnt want to make matters worse, like when you get the glue on your finger and pick it off. I will watch and wait and keep fingers crossed. Thanks

After waiting a little you need to try to peel off the glue.
They are "burned" by it and will need to be free in order to be able to open.
If you let it stay it will probably stay for a while, depending on the amount of glue and depending on the area affected.
Hopefully the glue didn't reach their discs to the point of damage.

Try to peel off very slowly and see... sometimes it comes off easily, but if you can't take the glue from them in a easy way I would wait more then...
Try with a fine tweezer. Do not force it too much!!

If you can't peel off easily they will have to be able to release some mucus and then it will come off.

Take your time. It's just a matter of time...
They'll be fine!

I have done something similar, but with the underside of the zoa disk. They slimed up and the glue came right off.
