missing wrasse

So after looking at every fish store in the dallas fortworth area I found a lemon meringue wrasse after qt I added him to the tank on monday. he was out and about all week but last night he suddenly disappeared I noticed him missing a little before lights out and today I see no trace of him. He didn't jump out because the lid covers the whole top of the tank and he is not in the overflow or the sump. and I checked all around the tank and even under, the tank is in a dog free zone. So should I worry?

It has been raining all day yesterday and today does air pressure affect wrasse habits too? I know that with freshwater the weather changes the habits on my fish but I am not sure about salt water fish

A week old fish is still getting used to your system so something may just have spooked it. Not a good idea to go hunting for it, so not a lot you can do.

Alright I'll let it go for now... If I notice my cuc focusing on something I'll assume the worst so far nothing. I'm sure nothing killed it since I have smaller and more sensitive fish in there that would've been easier prey for anything malicious

when i added my yellow wrasse to my 75g tank, he immediately buried himself in the sand and stayed there for 2 solid months!

Mine was out for the past few days eating and stuff but he just decided to vanish on me last night

UPDATE

he came out after i fed phyto to the tank, but now hes swimming kinda funky is this normal after theyve been in the sand for a few days? he looks like hes kinda drunk he didn't eat when I fed the tank before lights out

Well I have him in a breeder box and I think he's on his way out. He did fine in qt...

I did have a coral avanlanche a few days ago maybe that hurt it...

All my other fish are fine water is good my corals are happy and my shrimps and clam are all acting normally

Where did you purchase the wrasse from?

Sometimes wrasse experience decompression sickness, as well as other fish.
I purchased a wrasse and it was swimming in all directions.
Its bladder is infected, or when they were not decompressed during collection.

Do you see any blood colored blotches near it's belly?

Nope he looks fine, I came home from work and he had passed on...

Bums me out I hate losing fish...

He was great in qt, I moved him to the dt a week ago today he was fine until Thursday when he vanished then he reappeared Saturday night and then today he died

There's nothing in the tank that was aggressive to him, most aggressive thing in the tank is probably my clownfish but they host a gsp and don't come out unless food is the water. My yellow tang is a little curious but he's so deformed he can't catch up to anyone...

The wrasse looks fine now that he's dead no injury or swelling or bruising.
I think my conch spooked him and he hit his head on the lid and that maybe messed him up... Anyone else have a wrasse try and fly then get hurt by hitting the lid

Except this species is typically collected pretty shallow; < 30 feet.
