Mitras English Launch

Hi,

Welcome to the GHL forum ;)

All the specs are on this page link here I will translate coverage into inches after the link. Also take into account the figures are for coverage at the bottom of the tank so take into account not many people will have SPS wall to wall top to bottom

http://www.aquariumcomputer.com/Sys...dant_lamp_Mitras/led-pendant_lamp_mitras.html

bottom area coverage per fixture at 100% with standard reflectors

31.5 inches x 21 inches x 27.5 inches in depth

each fixture has a water volume coverage of 300 Litres

I am about to pre-order the Mitras lamp . I would like to only use 2 units, however I am worried about the braces causing shadows :worried:. Can I get by with 2 units or do I have to have three. My tank has the 2 overflows in the middle, however the brace placement is the same as the picture.

Bracing is always an issue especially black no matter what lamp you buy and whether two or 3

In regards to coverage please refer to my post above. Hope thats ok and of help ;)

AQD,
I have been looking at the pictures of the underside of the Mitras on "RB" and the pics appear to be of the old unit before the change to 9 channels. These pics were from Inter-zoo...

Do you have or could you point me to pictures of the updated final release unit, specifically of the underside...i.e led clusters...

For those of us who have pre-ordered the Mitras, some pic's of the updated final release units up close sure would be nice though... This will be my first GHL product...

I'm sure as soon as the units are on this side of the pond many dealers and such will have updated pictures.

You're going to love GHL products! My ProfiLux P3 which was originally a P2+ which means that even though my unit "Technically" is getting old it's up to date now and ready for the latest and greatest that GHL has to offer. Forward thinking is a VERY valuable business plan especially with technology that changes so quickly.

Hopefully by the time they are stateside a Brown or White truck will be delivering my three to me...:-> Was just trying to wrangle some updated pics out of AQD or GHL Germany...

" Na ja ... einen Versuch wagen "

Im hoping someone can help me on this before I pull the trigger on this fixture...My tank is 39"x24"x22" tall (actual water level is closer to 20"). It houses mainly LPS and zoas, and a few pieces of SPS higher in the tank. I am considering the GHL unit but only if one unit will properly light my tank. I have quite a bit of reading but Im hoping someone in the know can help with an answer to my question.

I was browsing several different pages for the Mitras and here's at least what the "Technical Data Graph" depicts

86cm x 65cm at 30cm distance (34" x 25.5" at 11.8" distance)
Here's the graph I'm talking about

I hope this helps some.

Functions

All 9 LED-channels are separately dimmable in approx. 3000 steps each...."

Can you confirm that please? Because I got today GHL flayer from LFS where is information about 1024 steps..
So - spec is known/released or its mistake? I have to choose between ghl or our local brand..(3000 dimming steps was strong pos for me)
Thank you for explanation.
