Mitras English Launch

The dimming curve is 3,000 points making the lamp very unique and within the same curve ONLY ever seen in aanlogue dimming (linear dimming technology), I am not aware of another lamp having such technology.

"Very fine dimming steps through True Dimming Technology (TM by Linear Technology)"

I have checked the flyers here and all state 3,000

I was browsing several different pages for the Mitras and here's at least what the "Technical Data Graph" depicts

86cm x 65cm at 30cm distance (34" x 25.5" at 11.8" distance)
Here's the graph I'm talking about

I hope this helps some.

Thanks AL, unfortunately I have learned several things through email that just doesnt make this light a contender anymore...

There was an unfortunate miss understanding between one of our excellent dealers and Chris in regards to lamp coverage.

Before the official launch and pre orders of the Mitras started the GHL coverage data was being read by forum viewers as per the PAR graph, however the official GHL stated marketing coverage dimension is slightly less than this.

It is highly important for us that we market as per the written specs rather than the PAR graph even if the graph does pertain to a higher coverage area.

All dealers have been reminded to market as per the written bottom coverage area rather than the graph.

If you want my personal view (taking company hat off, being a reefer who has played with all the leading brands of LED lighting) I Personally think this lamp could cover 36"x30" HOWEVER as I said this is MY personal view, not a marketing view and must not be read or taken any other way. ( I think I have covered my liability butt enough there ;) )

I have known Michael for several years now, he will not try to mislead you.
Matter of fact, he is always honest even when it does not benefit him.

There is very few vendor i can say this and mean it.
I am a mayor buyer in a WWTP plant, and I deal with a lot of vendors.

you cannot go wrong with GHL products, I almost went with mitras, but had to go with radions only for one reason, I wanted to mount those inside canopy, otherwise mitras always wins, it is afterall GHL

Do you think 2 units will be too much for a 48"x48" since you think 1 unit could cover 36"x30" area? Or if you have any suggestion to cover the 48"x48" footprint.

Thanks,

two unit for 48" is fine on length if you had for example less thean 30" of width but you have a square tank so you will have light short fall in the other direction, this is a difficult size tank to light as ideally you need 4 units.

all I can say is start with two and see how you go, officially we can not say 2 will be enough as is not based on the spec release.
