Mixed false perc pair spawned!

Finally!

I have a pair of false percs, female is black/white and male is orange/white. It took them ~3months to host in my carpet and now 4 months later they have spawned!

too cool. I also have a pair of GSMs that actively spawn, but now I think I will have a go at raising some fry. It will be more fun with 2 different breeds.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow since the lights just went out. I'm too happy!

congrats! Good luck raising the fry, it's lots of work. But when you get a few grown up it is all worth it.

Check out the breeding forum here on RC if you haven't. There is lots of good info. If you don't have it, pick up the book "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wilkerson. There is LOTS of good information there.

Here are a few pics. It is a tough angle to get since the carpet is in the back corner of my tank. The eggs are just under the zoos. It is certainly the first spawn, there are only ~30-50 eggs

let's see if we get brown ocellaris, i've got some from ora back ..... 4 yrs ago and they were just 'brownish'.

sweet man i too have a mixed pair but the opposite, my male is black and the female is a perc. heres a video of them spawning a while ago:
