Mixing Ocellaris and Maroon.

I posted a thread a few days ago that for some reason got deleted ( i assume because it wasnt in the "clownfish and anemone" forums, however i did not get to read all the replies due to the holiday so im not sure what everyone was advising on this issue. So here goes the question
I have an Ocellaris that has been in my tank for about 10 months, i added a juvenile Maroon about a month ago. so far they are the best of friends with some minor nipping by the Ocellaris to the Maroon. The few replies i got to read on the last thread said the Maroon would no doubt kill the Ocellaris once it gets bigger and more mature. I have seen videos on youtube of the two species breeding so i know its possible they can pair up. I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who thinks this combination will work or if i destined for failure and a dead Ocellaris. This is in a 30gallon tank with the only other tank mate being a mandarin dragonet. I also have a RBTA who has been a great host to the maroon so far. I will be upgrading to a 75 gallon in April so there will be much more room.

I know they will be fine I've always had multiple clowns in my tanks never any issues.. To include a breeding pair of Maroons and a breeding pair of occelairs.. Both laid eggs in the same tank it was a 225 gallon but anyone who has issues with clowns aren't introducing them correctly I currently have 10 clown fish in my tank 1 maroon 3 percs and 6 different designer types of occelaris no issues and all of the occelairs share the same ritteri anemone at night

I used to work at a LFS. one thing i found funny was there was a particular question that almost always went a certain way.

"High whats a good fish thats not too aggressive but can hold its own in a (Usually under 75 gallon)tank with a more aggressive fish"

I always responded with, "Is it a Maroon, Or damsel?" 9/10 times it was a maroon clown. All i had to do was point to this HUGE maroon pair the never sold in this 100G tank. "thats how big they get, And theres a reason nothing else is in that 100 gallon tank" the tank also almost always had ALL of its sand on one side, i explained to them i evened the sandbed out every goddamn night before we closed too.

they always got rid of the maroon. Damn shame too cause gold stripe maroons are GORGEOUS, and red is my favorite color/ tank theme. o well. i settled for a Flamehawk

Anyways, Even though you might not wanna hear it, Id ditch the maroon, or be prepared to dedicate your tank to a pair of em. Otherwise you'll more than likely have a "he was a model citizen up until about year in when he decided everything but him in the tank must die" situations on your hands

My maroon is driving me nuts. Every other day i need to take a scraper and level out the sand. And he seems to have something against a hammer coral. Almost every day he buries it. He does it right in front of me.
He is in a 120g with a bonded pair of picasso clowns. I know I need to get him out, but I love him and he has the most personality of any fish I've had. Even though he spits sand at me evertime I approach the tank.

Multiple people have made hybrids of the species. With a female Occy and male Maroon, it'll likely work as long as the Maroon stays submissive.
