mixing sps with soft and lps

Hi guys looking for some help I would like to add some montipora to my tank
scroll variety..

Is this ok to do so and can any one advise on what type for first monti sps.
All my levels a fine and i run the ATI sunpower 6x54 lighting ..combo+3blue plus....2 aquablue special ....1 purple plus all ati bulbs

I have left the upper region of my tank for the addition of sps...

Any advice would be great thanks..

shouldn't be a big problem, but do realize that sps and some softies (leathers in particular) commonly compete with one another chemically.

I have a sps dominated mixed reef with lps, zoas, a leather and even a little xiena. I have no problems with water quality or coral warfare. I do run a lot of carbon, always have and GFO when needed. First sps to start with are caps, digis, birds nest, even browned out acros are good starters. You lighting will be fine for sps.
