Modular Marine overflow

Getting ideas together for my 140g build. I see lots of great reviews of the M Marine overflow. My question is...the unit I saw had 2 1"holes for the tank and three 3/4in holes for the Bean. would 1" drain be better with 1.5holes in the tanks? Im looking at the 1600unit. 1600gph be good for fish only?

These overflows (regardless of brand) have hole sizes appropriate for the maximum flow capacity of the particular unit. I alway shoot for 5x tank turnover, and run the overflow at 50% capacity. You do the math

James your posted pipe sizes don't match their website...the 1600 is 2x1.5 and 3x1,etc.

Ca1ores post is good for which to pick..the 1600 is perfect for a 140g tank imo
