Monolith

Amazing i like both new and old . The new one is gonna be beautiful like the dims.

Thanks Dan.
I hope so as well...

Did you build the glass tank yourself? Super nice setup like the stand a lot too.

No 305dolphins...The glass was build by Renato Wada. A good fabricator here.
But I build myself the stand. :hammer:

Amazing. The dimensions are great. You can do so much with that size tank.

I couldn't agree more Pife.
As I told before, I'll never make a long and narrow tank again.

Amazing tank. And the stand looks awesome. Im guessing that your sump is in the other room via wall?

Thanks gblaszczuk.
You got it....
I'll post some pictures to show it off.

Two photos of the fish room.
Isn't the most clean or organized fish room ever....but it works...
And when it's too messy, I can just close the door and hide all the mess away from sight...:bounce1:

Don't sell yourself short, it looks great. Thanks for taking the time to share your system with us, it's very inspiring.

And with led;) cool

Here in Brazil T5 bulbs are very expensive. Change 30 bulbs (the amount to cover well a tank like this) each 8~10 months isn't an option.
Plus, the electric bill is a problem too.
So LED becomes a good option in terms of cost.

Besides that, it's working well to me 'till now.

Your tank and photography skills are very impressive mate! The tank looks amazing and your photo's are hopefully doing it justice!

That CaRX is bloody massive! I love the fish room setup, looks pretty neat to me lol and it's good to see such an amazing tank run with LED's too :)

The CARX is the best piece of plastic that my money has bought....:lolspin::lolspin::lolspin:
It works really really fine.

Photos from last month.....with the water a little cloud due to some layout changes.
Since the beginning the front island bothered me....it was.....too high.
So I broke the 3 "foots" and bring it down 4~5".

The clown's house was moved to another place, giving it more visibility:

Here the rock with the tortuosa turquoise was moved against the back panel, were the frogs/hammers were before.
It opens a lot of space between the front and the back formations. Something that I intend since the start.

Most impressed with the layout of your rock work. Open and free, nice work :D

Thanks M007

I glued 3 high islands of sansibar rock to make the layout. And intended to use only them plus some low islands on the sandbed.
The problem is that I had some colonies on islands in the previous reef. And I used them......plus, my tortuosa turquoise is 20" wide, my tortuosa Blue Oregon is 15" wide.
All that results is a layout with less negative spaces that I intended.
I am slowly removing some corals and rocks.
The next step is to remove the monti capri and trim some colonies to get more free space.
Let's see.......

Thanks Dom.

You'd want to hope so haha it's a serious piece of kit there!! The tank definitely looks like it's working though :lolspin:

Stunning! I love the rockwork and the way the corals have grown in and around it :)

Clams, clams, clams...

I had 15 croceas on my previous reef, plus 1 squamosa and 1 maxima.
Due to pinched mantle disease I lost all the croceas and the maxima.

This squamosa survived....I bought it in 2011, 4" long.
Now it is almost 20". One of my favorite piece on the reef, for sure.

This was bought last year. Not exactly the mantle pattern that I want, but a good contrast of color anyway.

And finally this. Found it last week, on a new LFS. Love the mantle pattern instantly.

Beautiful!!
Are you still running the tank without dosing or n and p control?
the tank looks great!!
I really like the scape as well
Did you notice any major changes when you stopped trying to manipulate the tank?
How many fish, how much do you feed and how many gallons is the new tank?
