Montgomery area get together

NP, Julie. I'm hoping I get a vacation this year, but with my wife starting a new job in Jan (time and money now issues), I'm not sure if it'll happen for another year... I have to get wet and swim with th efishes at least 8 dives a year, or I suffer:D.

Just under 6 hours:). My wife is working on some roast beef and ham finger sandwiches, some rotel, and some salsa. Nothign heavy, but should be enough to keep anyone from starving:). We'll have cokes, etc., too. BYOB if you wish.

Had a great time, guys. I've missed the feel of club meetings since I left Nashville. We definitely have to keep this going (and get it growing). What do we want to do next month, someones house to look at more tanks, or a restaurant, etc?

Sorry I missed it everyone. However, I came back w/ a bunch of goodies!!! I've got to get everything set up and then I will post pics just to prove that even though I wasn't there in body, I was there in spirit and I was still reefing!!!!!! My stuff is sooo cool, I can't wait.

I forgot to mention that we decided to go ahed and see what we can pull together on a swap in October. Right now, I'm going to check out the Bird house someone mentioned and Pete Peterson Lodge. I'm thinking the lodge may be the right price, and fits the other categories pretty well (easy access to Interstate, food in area, access to front door, ample parking, hard floors, AC, electricity and bathrooms:)). We're going to get the word out to the Mobile area and hope for some people from the Birmingham area, as well as Ga, etc. If this one goes well and there is an increase in interest, we'll look at setting something bigger up between the MTRC and ETRC swaps. I'll need options for something larger, too, if it begins to look like there is growing interest.

Things we'll have to plan around are categorized as football;). We'll try to stay clear of Auburn and Alabama games (unless they are night games, etc.). Troy and some of the other small colleges in the area will be taken into consideration, too.

I was in town until today. Wish I would've seen this post sooner....I have one more semester left here in Tuscaloosa, and all my tanks are at home. I'll definately be interested when I move back home. Glad to hear the Gump is on its way to having a reef club. Now if we could only get a really good LFS....

:). Feel free to swing in on us if in the area when we have a meeting. We're going to work on a frag swap for October to see how much interest there is in the area for such a thing.

The wife said we could do the next meeting here if no one else is up to hosting yet. We have a core group that want something to happen, so hopefully we can get something going (and grow).
