Monthly cost of large tank maintinace

Other than electricity, it's largely the 'rule-of-20's' for me for running costs per month. $20 each for salt, RODI supplies (mainly DI resin), food, and additives.

I estimate between $100-150 per month on average. Winter consumes more power for heat so I see a bump there. I make my own food plus adding frozen foods so that helps keep costs down.

That was very helpful guys and very assuring. Someone told me that I should expect $1000 a month in maintenance, and I was thrown off by that, so I had to ask and triple check my numbers.

The electricity rate in my city is $.0937 per KW. Without a chiller or a heater, I estimated my consumption to be 475kw a month.

Unless you are paying someone to do your maintenance there is no way the cost would be that high. That said, your heaters are going to be running a lot - I would guess that will add to your electricity total, although it's not going to get you anywhere close to a grand.
