That's an Echinophyllia species, most likely E. aspera. Generally considered LPS.

This came from a tear down and was all brown and really looked dead for a couple weeks.

From the same tank... it's pretty ugly in these pics but lucky it's only twice as bad in person. :lol:

Getting much better though with purple and green starting to show up under the full time VHO in this tank.

Full colony and a accidental frag.

I haven't looked yet as it is new to my tank. It starting to change corals in my tank even after being in for only 2 weeks.

Steve at New Alameda has one of the sky blue monti's. Here asked if I want a piece but I don't have room for encrusting corals. :D
