montipora levamisole quarantine?

I posted this in the reef forum and was not getting a lot of takers so will re-post here
I am looking to get others experience with ways to ensure that they do not get monti eating nudi's - we are now getting to have a pretty decent sized monti population so are looking to protect what we have while still aquiring the new pieces we desire - we have two new montis sitting in quarantine and are not sure exactly what is the best way to deal with this - do you guys just hold them for a few weeks and observe closely or how many just treat prophylactically with levamisole? (and if so what doses?) - we do not see anything suspicious on them, but really want to be careful

I spotted them in my tank and shot up a flare on this forum... the feeling I get is that there isnt a whole lot that can be done. i was very disheartened by what I read. some said dibs and examining for eggs. others said dips dont work at all. From what Ive read in some cases the levamisole can be very rough on corals.

I have them ..I believe I knocked them for a loop with killing them manually and checking for eggs. although I still am not exactly sure what the eggs look like the coral in question that was affected looks a lot better..

In your case in QT i would examing the underside closely and qt for a month. i would think in a month you would see any ill effects of an infestation. I read a good thread with some Ideas,,, but again, the overall feel I got was that there wasnt a whole lot that works to kill the boogers. some said they stayed alive even in heavy iodine concentrations...
