Montipora Setosa

Hey guys I have a quick question about my setosa. Its branching instead of encrusting is this normal? I have it place in the bottom of the tank. Med to low light. The color is nice and red, however I would prefer if it encrusted rather than branched. I have had it about 3 months now and has 0 if any encrust on its base, its only branched.

It will primarily branch and encrust very little. I like the gnarly branching that ours does. Probably not a good choice if you were looking for an encrusting monti! Still a cool coral eitehr way.

Thanks. well I have seen some very nice encrusting pics of it and like it more than when it branches but. However I still love this thing
