Moorish Idol Stopped Eating After Nipping at Corals

My MI has been very healthy and fat but yesterday when it went after green hammer the first time and ate it's flesh. Today it's not eating anything and the fish is having a fatigue. It's also not swimming outside much anymore and hiding behind the rocks. I'm not sure if there is anything I can do for that fish...

What's your water parameters? Some fish will eat entire colonies in a sitting and don't act like your seeing the MI act.

I agree.Lately my MI has started liking to munch on frogspawn.He still has a big appetite at mealtime.So maybe it's something else,bothering your MI

Thanks everyone, I think I found out the reason. I was dosing clarity hoping to make the tank crystal clear after prazi. but my previous experience with using clarity was that it killed almost all the fish in that tank. I called Seachem and got to know that many things we use may react with clarity to cause trouble. My cleaner wrasse died immediately in front of me after using clarity yesterday. So I'm thinking that was the reason. I changed the water just now and added a lot of ROX carbon and Purigen. The moorish idol is now back to eating.

From now on I will not use clarity anymore.

Calling Seachem was the best thing you could have done. When in doubt call the number on the bottle. Glad the Idol is eating again
