Moorish idol Test #2

A couple of years ago I to keep a moorish idol in my 125g. After a couple of weeks it was doing great and i was on top of the world. Then one day after work I came home to find it sucked to the powerhead. Well the time has come for me to try it again. I happened to find one at a LFS in the area that was a great price and figured "Hey why not? After all The Achilles is doing good."
I've actually have had pretty good luck in the past couple of years w/ harder to keep speices. Then again, I too have failed many times, but I have learned something new everytime I loose a fish. Like with my first Moorish Idol, "No 802's in the tank with it" Now, I never said it was some great and brillant idea but it was something. The one I got is about, 2-1/2" and isn't shy at all. The guy at the LFS showed me that it would eat brine shrimp and it was healthy looking. So I took it home and i'm using water from my reef in its tank and I'm doing 20% water changes 3 times a week. Well its been a Couple of weeks now and its doing great. I've actually gotten it to eat flake food, YES FLAKE FOOD. I rotate out foods twice a day. I will try to get some pick up so that ya'll can see it. And I will keep ya'll informed on how its doing.

great to hear but your tank at 65 is way to small to keep these fish very happy... are you thinking of upgrading?

here is a pic of my idol and achilles...

I also had an idol. It ate flake, frozen, fresh, pellets just fine. Stayed FAT and healthy. I loved that fish. Came home, he greeted me as usual, fed him a snack which he gobbled up, took a nap and when I woke up he was dead.

Why? No one knows, that's the problem with idols. :(

Those are beautiful fish! I hope it works out for you. Does this mean you have anything you're going to move out to make more room for the Idol? ;)
