Is that calerpa i see growing in your display???? Brave brave soul you are lol. I had a recent event of that same type of calerpa going sexual, and i promise you when it does it to you, you will NEVER alow one sprig of that stuff near another tank. It is when and not if because it will happen eventually.

By the way, the is a beautiful ric. Never put a peppermint shrimp in with the rics just incase you didn't already know, peppermints love them. (for dinner)

Absolutely gorgeous R. yuma. I've been through three R. yuma just like that and haven't been able to keep them. I'm glad that you're able to keep one. We'll have to work out a future trade. :)

I'd be more than happy to put some in your tank too dugg, lol. Don't worry scott, I've had my bunch for quit a while now and it's been okay so far. Just keep it trimmed back so as not to get out of control.

im not worried adam, i pulled it all off..except the small piece ya see in the pic..an just let me know travis..i got many other yumas..orange blue an green..they will be for sale soon..

nice yuma big scott!! when your ready to sell dont forget about your little buddy from Ardmore. If i remember correctly it was you that got me on the whole reefcentral/comas kick while you was here at a LFS. by the way thanks!!

Yeah Adam, i had mine for quite a while also. About a year and a half under 24/7 lighting, and kept it cut back too. Then one day I harvested, and it decided that it was in danger or something and BAM. It's not pretty to deal with when it finally goes on you. Not to even mention that if it gets on the rocks, it is impossible to get rid of. One piece the size of the head of a pin will regrow in no time. It's ok in a fish only or seahorse tank, but not worth the risk in a reef.

so what would be the difference in having a piece in the display, and having some in a refugium. I've seen numerous refugiums with various types of macro. If they were to go asexual wouldn't it get sucked up the return and spread around the display as well? I just don't get the difference here?
