More Rare.. Nicer Tang Help.

I was wondering what were some of the More Rare and obviously gorgeous looking tangs?

I have a 300 Gal and Was looking for something that you dont see everyday..

well for rare tangs (rare means not in every lfs or home tank)

gem tang

long nose black tang,

are 2 tangs i like that are not in your average home tank

either one of these tangs you most likely will not see in anybody else s tank in your town unless you live someplace like ny city and the likes

Thanks.. not crazy about the Gem tang.. And i like the Black Tang but i prefer the look of a Achilles tang..

be advised in my town anything other than a yellow tang is rare

yeah thats the one i was looking for when i went to that web site..unfortunatly i have never seen one forsale or even seen one in person so i dont know if the pic makes the fish look great or if the pic fails in comparison to the fish in person

Chevron Tang.

Just got one and I LOVE it. Phenominal colors and personality. Hardy too. Just a little on the pricey side, but considering they come from Hawaii and are tough, it's well worth the money for a long lived buddy and reasonable sized tang to boot.

The horse shoe tang or whatever they call it is commonly known as a fowleri tang in my area, not such a rare fish, either it the Thompson tang. They are both really nice fish. That Lopez Naso is rare because it gets really big and is not an attractive fish. Also they are more of an open water fish, not so much a reef. The 2 rarest tangs as mentioned are the Gem
And Black. The Gem will lose its colors if not fed right, should be a dark blackish body with white spots. Most in captivity are brownish with yellow spots. Certain hybrids will be rarer and abreant colored tangs.

How about multi color yellow tang ,Achilles and goldrim hybrid Or fowleri tang?
Not very rare nor very expensive

black tang ( not rare ) and gem tang don't do it for me because for that price I can get few scribble angel, xmas island emperor, asfur or few fairy wrasse.

I like mine to be more reasonable even cheap, but very colorful, unusually and easier to keep. I killed a lot of expensive fish in the past rare fish usually are more fragile and sometimes died because it was collected improperly specially deep water fish.
