Mounting the 6100

I just got my TS/24 kit and was putting together the mounting bracket. I have 3/4" thick eurobracing on the tank sides that's 5/8' wide. When I hang the bracket off the bracing the pump is suspended slightly with a small gap between the bracket and the side glass. Should I use the 3000.26 bracket or will the suspended setup work ok when the pumps are running. I have ordered the 3000.26 just in case.

3000.244 will include a spacer to support the bottom. Why not just get a nylon screw and two nuts and the hardware store and DIY?
